Jack's lyrics blend colourful religious images with blunt, conservative slogans, often espousing the various causes he works with such as suicide prevention and father's rights. He finished recording his first album "Phoenix Bird Arising" back in 2005 and is currently working on his second album. An amazing knowledge of scripture and a fervent desire to right some of the imbalances in society, place Jack's songs in a totally unique genre. His Christian lyrics draw upon imagery from books like Ezekiel and Revelation. He is unlikely to make friends among feminists or members of the gay community. I doubt Helen Clarke would invite him to afternoon tea either. Needless to say, Jack's views are not necessarily those of anyone else at Hurtle Music.
